Devin Alexander Brewer was a son, brother, and friend that touched the lives of many people.The Young Simba Scholarship & Devin Brewer Invitational Track Meet was established to continue what he cared about most of leadership, love, and helping the world be a better place.
Students, please apply for the scholarship using the instructions below.To donors and supporters, all monetary contributions are Federally Tax Deductible per IRS 501(c)(3) code.
The Young Simba Scholarship provides a $5,000 scholarship to high school seniors who have applied to and been accepted into a college or university. This competitive scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate strong leadership qualities and a meaningful commitment to community service.
Young Simba Scholarship Alumni




1) Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA (Submit Unofficial Transcript)2) Must be a senior, attending a public High School in Prince William County.3) Complete the scholarship application provided in the attached link4) Submit one (1) letter of recommendation from a counselor, teacher, or friend that speaks to your leadership traits and ambition.5) Show evidence of leadership experience in academic, extracurricular, or community settings
Examples:
Record of volunteer service or civic involvementDescription of the impact of your involvement6) Submit a written 1-2 page essay on a plan that would benefit your community.7) Must attend the in person award ceremony on April 25th, 2026.8) finalist will be required to show proof of acceptance into college
